A Seesofa has three layers: a steel frame, foam and a removable fabric cover. This guide explains what each is made of.
What is the frame made of?
The frame is built from DC01 carbon steel tube, 16 mm in diameter with a 1.5 mm wall (ArcelorMittal steel). The connectors are made of free-cutting steel and are zinc-plated. The finish is an epoxy-polyester powder coating, or decorative chrome (nickel plating). You can choose from 8 colors: Black, Chrome, Red, Yellow, White, Sky Blue, Navy Blue and Green.
What foam is used?
The seat is high-density polyurethane foam T3045 with a density of 26-30 and a hardness of 3.8-5.4. It is not memory foam. The backrest and cushions are filled with foam and silicone fiber. The seat is two folding mattresses, each 17 cm thick when unfolded.
What certificates does the foam have?
The foam comes from a manufacturer holding CertiPUR certification, which sets limits on harmful substances in polyurethane foam, and an IATF 16949 quality-management certificate, which applies to the manufacturer's quality system. These certificates belong to the foam manufacturer, not to the finished sofa.
Is there a mechanism?
No. A Seesofa has no pull-out mechanism and no bar under your back. You fold the top half of each seat mattress forward by hand.
Where is it made?
Seesofa is a Polish brand and every piece is made to order in Europe. Each element is checked before shipping: foam dimensions, seams, zippers, shade, frame and a complete set of screws. The warranty lasts 2 years from delivery. Read the warranty terms.
