Seesofa Flow is covered in GROSSO and Flowy in AMIGO. Both are rated for heavy everyday use, so the choice is mostly about look and feel.
What is GROSSO fabric?
GROSSO is a wide-rib matte corduroy made of 90% polyester and 10% nylon. It weighs 350 g/m² (±10%), is rated for at least 35,000 Martindale cycles and has pilling grade 5, the best rating. Its lightfastness is 4-5. It comes in 28 colors.
What is AMIGO fabric?
AMIGO is a soft textured plush made of 100% polyester. It weighs 300 g/m² (±5%), is rated for 35,000 Martindale cycles and has pilling grade 5. Its lightfastness is 6-7, and it has a WaterStop finish. It comes in 23 colors.
What does a Martindale rating mean?
The Martindale test rubs the fabric against an abrasive surface until it wears. Fabrics rated 35,000 cycles or more are suitable for frequent domestic use. Pilling grade 5 means no pilling after testing.
Which fabric is better for a family or pets?
Both are durable. AMIGO has the higher lightfastness (6-7), so it resists fading in a sunny room, and its WaterStop finish helps with spills. GROSSO has a ribbed texture that hides everyday marks well. If you have pets, look at the Moo collection, rated for 50,000 Martindale cycles with a top-rated pet-proof grade.
How do I clean them?
The covers are removable. Hand wash them in soapy water at up to 30 °C. Do not bleach, tumble dry, iron or dry-clean them. Never wash or soak the foam. Machine washing is technically possible but not recommended, because fabric manufacturers do not accept claims after it.
Can I see the fabrics before ordering?
Yes. You can order up to 5 free fabric samples, shipped at no cost to 12 countries. See Flow and Flowy for the shapes.
