How a Seesofa Arrives: Delivery, Weight and Carrying It Home

Every Seesofa is made to order and ships within 14 business days. Courier delivery then takes 1–5 business days, depending on your country. This page answers the practical questions: how heavy the sofa is, how it is packed and whether it fits through your door.

What arrives at your door

A Seesofa sofa bed is not one heavy block. It arrives in several separate packages: a backrest with armrests, two folding seat mattresses, two cushions and a metal tube frame that you screw together at home. The frame system comes in the same package as the furniture.

How heavy is it?

• The whole sofa weighs about 46 kg.
• The heaviest single part weighs about 25 kg.

Because the weight is split across separate parts, the pieces are easier to carry than a sofa with a fixed frame.

Compressed or full shape

At checkout you can choose between two options: delivery with the foam compressed into a smaller package, or the foam in its full shape. In the UK only the compressed option is available. The compressed option is meant for narrow doors, staircases and buildings without a lift.

Narrow stairs, attics and tight doorways

Since Flow and Flowy arrive as separate foam parts and a frame, they are easier to take up narrow stairs, into an attic or through a tight doorway than a sofa with a fixed frame. The seat mattresses are 100 × 85 × 34 cm when folded and the cushions are 100 × 43 × 20 cm.

Assembly

You assemble the sofa yourself. The metal frame runs around all four sides, is screwed together into one piece and has no moving parts. It holds the backrest upright and lets you move the folded sofa around. The user guide explains the steps.
