Folding Mattress or Sofa Bed? How Seesofa Flow Compares
Many people looking for a folding mattress or a floor sofa bed actually want two things: a place to sit every day and a proper bed when guests stay. Seesofa Flow and Flowy are built around exactly that idea.
What a Seesofa seat is
The seat of a Seesofa sofa bed is two folding foam mattresses. Each one is two foam slabs in one cover, stitched in the middle. Folded, a mattress is 100 × 85 × 34 cm and forms one seat. Unfolded, it is 100 × 170 × 17 cm.
From sofa to bed in seconds
Stand in front of the sofa and fold the top half of each mattress forward; the bottom half stays in place. There is no pull-out mechanism and no springs.
- Both mattresses unfolded: a 200 × 170 cm bed for two.
- One mattress unfolded: a 100 × 170 cm single bed with a seat beside it.
- Both folded: a two-seater sofa, 234 × 99 × 65 cm, seat height 34 cm.
What is different from a plain folding mattress
- A sofa the rest of the time. The backrest with armrests, two cushions and a metal tube frame turn the mattresses into a sofa you can use every day.
- 17 cm of T3045 polyurethane foam with OEKO-TEX Standard 100, CertiPUR and ISO 14001 certificates. It is not memory foam, so it feels firmer.
- Removable covers with zips, washable, in GROSSO corduroy (Flow, 28 colours) or AMIGO fabric (Flowy, 23 colours).
- A frame with no moving parts, screwed together at home, in 8 colours.
Which size do I need?
The Flow and Flowy chair unfolds into a 100 × 170 cm single bed. The sofa bed makes a 200 × 170 cm double bed. The corner sofa unfolds into a 285 × 170 cm bed. See Flow and Flowy compared or go straight to the foam sofa collection.
