How to Unpack, Carry and Assemble a Seesofa

Seesofa is designed to be carried in and assembled at home. Here is what to expect on delivery day.

How heavy is a Seesofa?

The sofa weighs 50 kg, the corner 88 kg and the chair 16 kg. The heaviest single element of the sofa or corner is about 12 kg, so one person can move each part.

What are the package sizes?

In compressed delivery the sofa arrives in 3 packages: 110 × 36 × 36 cm (21 kg), 80 × 36 × 36 cm (14 kg) and 53 × 47 × 42 cm (15 kg). The corner arrives in 4 packages: 120 × 36 × 36 cm (22 kg), 87 × 50 × 56 cm (28 kg), 120 × 36 × 36 cm (22 kg) and 87 × 50 × 56 cm (16 kg). The chair arrives in one 87 × 50 × 56 cm package (16 kg). With full delivery, the sofa ships on one 120 × 80 × 210 cm pallet (56 kg), the corner on two, and the chair on one 80 × 60 × 157 cm pallet (22 kg).

How long does assembly take?

One person can assemble the sofa with pliers in 15-60 minutes, following the instructions. The metal frame has four sides and is screwed together; the foam parts only need to be placed.

How long does the foam take to expand?

If the foam arrived compressed, leave it for 24-48 hours after unpacking to reach its full size and firmness.

Where do the couriers leave it?

Couriers deliver to the first door of your building and do not carry the furniture inside. Because each package is small and light, carrying it up the stairs is manageable. Compressed delivery is the best choice for narrow staircases and small lifts.

What about the load?

A Seesofa is designed for about 100-110 kg per person, around 200 kg for the sofa as a double bed and about 100 kg for the chair.
